An appeal, a request for the release of a valuable, presumably completely innocent girl imprisoned in Dubai, and the lightning-fast judicial process.
Hello, dear Emir.
I am a Pole living in Poland. I have my own website, a webpage, where I publish, among other things, my own articles, studies, and posts on law and rights in general, which are beneficial to people.
//Among other things, in my article-post (on the website at: https://bryzy2.com) I have formulated a comprehensive, synthetic approach to law and rights in the most general and fundamental terms, explaining the basis for achieving beneficial optimization by people and for people, humanity, and for correcting errors in the law where they exist. I think that, considering the overall content of this study, the logical content can, in short, serve as an essential critical and logical guide in these times of crisis, threat, and confrontation. In various situations/regarding various situations, the basic content can be useful for many, even as useful as a logarithm in solving a wide variety of problems, because the entire content—according to the author—is formulated consistently and logically, including its unambiguous correspondence to truth in a logical sense. I also discuss other topics, mainly those concerning—according to the author—significant events and situations, as well as the subpage of my own original music (currently under renovation). I generally invite you to send me the message below.
The main reason for this message is an attempt to influence the consequences of a certain single event, which I read about in the news online (September 8, 2025 – „Onet.pl/styl-zycia/kobietaxl”). This is a matter that shocked me and probably many others regarding the course of events.
In this online message titled: „Student sentenced to 25 years in prison in Dubai”, „Innocent trip turned into a nightmare”, „It’s a nightmare”, the author writes that a British citizen Mia O’Brien from Hyuton, a law student at the University of Liverpool, traveled to Dubai at the invitation of a friend and her boyfriend, using her own savings. In the apartment where she was staying as a guest with these friends, police found 500g of cocaine in a drawer. But not only the owner or both of the tourist’s hosts were taken away, but also herself, despite her denial of the charges!
The court sentenced her, even linguistically (and substantively), isolated from the court. She didn’t even have a lawyer („…she was deprived of a lawyer”), in a lightning-fast trial. She was alone in the proceedings, in a language she didn’t even understand, as she didn’t speak Arabic. She was only informed later about the sentence and its amount, and this amount, for such a person and in her situation, is certainly a gruesome and disproportionate sentence, even under the circumstances: 25 years in prison and a very high fine (perhaps that was the prosecutors’ intention!?), namely approximately 150 PLN. $1,000!, which at first glance is an abuse of life, the value of such a person’s life, given the suspicions and allegations of the police and the court, should at most be expelled from the Arab country where she had the misfortune to arrive. Since such a situation is viewed so harshly, such a high fine certainly does not justify such a sentence, given the few, and in fact completely unjustified, circumstances.
In terms of justice, she cannot be blamed for simply being invited as a guest to an apartment where a drug was found somewhere in a drawer. There were other people who were hosts, and currently, nothing is known about their subsequent fate.
The Dubai authorities have no right to prohibit a tourist from contacting anyone unless there is a court order prohibiting it.
Since the girl did not confess to the acts she was accused of, they likely had no evidentiary basis for any possible suspicions.
And the important fact is that this young, very, above-average person An attractive and sensitive English student (at a top-class European university) was imprisoned in Al-Awir Prison („Dubai’s Alcatraz”), which for such a girl is more of an apocalypse, a criminal slaughterhouse, at least potentially, as an environment, a place unrelated to her country, culture, with an alien even linguistically. She was thrown into an environment of abusive, recidivist, criminal and unfamiliar motley crew of „dark characters” (this opinion and description are in the article). This meant she was exposed to degradation, rape, and all manner of destructive, barbaric life-destroying activities, to the destruction of her valuable life. These are signs of a barbaric devaluation of her nascent or emerging adult life, intended and initiated in adulthood through studies, including law studies, which are essentially intended to prepare such people to protect or optimize legal actions for others, thus shaping positive choices and influences!
I expect, I hope, that you, as the emir of this country, who also studied extensively in Great Britain, and therefore have some knowledge of the culture and high independence, sovereignty, and autonomy of European women regarding civil rights, will more easily recognize the harm being done to this tourist than the heartless, routine officials who threw her into this hellish abyss, and, as someone of importance in Dubai, will influence the release of this undoubtedly wronged person, along with the return of the terrible financial burden imposed on her.
